Accessibility statement
BT is committed to making the www.convergentsolutions.bt.com website as accessible as possible for all users.
The site has been independently reviewed for accessibility compliance including tests with both blind and partially sited users.
All pages are WCGA AA approved and the site correctly validates as XHTML 1.0 transitional.
We have introduced a number of specific features to make it easier for people with disabilities to use the site:
Access keys
Access keys allow you to quickly navigate to key sections within the site using a keyboard instead of a mouse.
PC users can activate the link by pressing ALT + the access key. Mac users can activate the link by pressing Control + the access key.
The following access keys are available for use on our site:
- S - Jump to main contents
- N - Jump to main navigation
- A - Jump to accessibility statement
- M - Jump to site map

Links
We have endeavoured to write links that make sense out of context and provided attributes to describe the link. We have also stated where links will open another browser window.
Images
All content images have descriptive alt tags which display when images are switched off and can be read by screen readers.
Font sizes
Fonts within the site are scalable by browsers to the users preferred size.
PDFs
The site uses PDF files to display content such as datasheets. If your screen reader software is not compatible with the free Adobe Reader, you can use a free online tool which converts the content of PDF files to a format which can be understood by most screen reader applications.
For more information, and full details of how to use this tool, visit www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/access_onlinetools.html.
We are hoping to reduce the use of PDFs on the site in the future and are planning to introduce accessible HTML wherever possible.
Accessibility Software
There are a number of applications available for disabled users to download which will help in using this site:
- JAWS, a screen reader for Windows. A time-limited, downloadable demo is available.
- Home Page Reader, a screen reader for Windows. A downloadable demo is available.
- Lynx, a free text-only web browser for blind users with refreshable Braille displays.

We want to make sure that our site meets the needs of all our users so please contact us if you'd like to give feedback or suggest ways we could improve your experience.
