SpeechDial provides powerful interactive voice response capabilities specially designed for outsourced contact centres and network service providers. It is a speech-enabled call routing service that uses existing corporate directories to allow callers to reach who they want without having to look up directories or punch in numbers. People on the move can get up-to-date information on demand.

  • Call connection - callers can be connected to any person or department listed in the directory and choose to be routed to a mobile or desk phone.
  • Company information - allows companies to offer speech-enabled responses to requests for company information or frequently asked questions.
  • Flexibility on names and pronunciation - SpeechDial can recognise formal names or common short forms and has a large phonetic database to cater for different pronunciations. Where common names are involved it can check other details, such as function or location, to ensure callers get through to the correct person.
  • Destination confirmation - before calls are put through the system confirms the name of the person or department, allowing easy cancellation in the case of error.
  • Scalable and robust - can cater for enterprises of any size with directories of up to 50,000 entries.
  • Barge in - allows experienced users to take short cuts and interrupt prompts.
  • Fallback to operator - where callers are having difficulties, or background noise is causing problems, SpeechDial will offer more prompts but if still unsuccessful calls can be transferred to an operator.
